(psudo)Class Gathering - 31/08/06
okay, so quick sum-up to let u guys who were here relieve the good(?) memories and to give the others an idea of what happened. sorry, no pics, so u get a long monolouge. To facilitate reading (and hopefully relieve boredom), i broke it up into (estimated) times.
2:15pm - left school amidst progressively heavy rain. group consists of abi,chunrui, eunice, hannah, josephine, joseph, kiam and me.
2:52pm - reach my place via mrt and bus (as critiqued by WY, 2006, this is a long and unecessary route.) get sheltered thanks to my very uncommunicative bro, who drops off upbrellas with us and scoots off. i blame the class for being scary. :P
3:06pm - settle down to watch "Fragile", a very touching but horribly scary(er, only i seem to think so tho) movie about hospitals, ghosts, "love kisses" and brittle bone syndrome. Huihui arrives during the movie and leaves before it ends. :( 4 facts about this movie:
1. Chunrui watched it 4 times and cried.
2. We are obsessed with neuro and OT: everyone kept talking abt spina bifida, therapy, etc etc etc. This is obsession, man.
3. Our class watch movie very noisy! yes, u guys are. everyone kept talking throughout the movie! okay, so i was probably the noisiest. i will shut up now.
4. I just found out that Fragile is not even released yet?! or its still previewing. woah. many thanks to CR who brought it (along with other dvds) for us.
4:47pm - Movie ends, people disperse to mahjong (brought by joseph, played by CR later, Eunice, both Jos and Kiam), piano (French fries and eunice later) and folding paper cranes (Abi and CR initially).
Mahjong was initially rather peacable, but with CR, it became a life and death game. she's really...dramatic. :)
Abi and CR (initally) went from folding cranes to carrots. I dont see the link, except for the Cs. And we discover we were folding it wrong! *embarrassed*
Piano was fun! we learnt that JM can play pretty well, so can Eunice, and Sarah is good at bugging people. :P
5:30 and 6:47pm - Hannah, then Eunice and Sarah leave.
7:44pm - Mahjong still in full swing,all other activities stopped. This is a clear indication of class favourite activities. :)
WY starts making her way over to my place.
Abi, JM and i go buy food at Serangoon gardens (Chomp Chomp). With a very terrifying walk for abi involving randomly jaywalking busy roads, we get back with stingray, satay and pizza. supplemented with my mom's pasta, this is dinner.
WY has managed against all odds to make it to my place. She is indeed a pro orienteer. Go wy! :)
Im sick of guessing the timing. anyway, after that was eating, watching s'pore idol (bye joachim!), WY discovering that we were STILL folding the cranes wrong (!), more eating, and talking.
Okay, Im done, not that i think anyone is still paying attention. :P In conclusion, a pretty long day (and night) at my place, fun and laughter all around yes? U guys were really good, self-entertaining guests, and it was a total pleasure to have you all around. My mom loved u guys too (she loves it when people whack her food like that...), and YES abi, she noes who u are now (she asked me who was "that really outgoing girl". what can i say, u attract attention. :D
OKAY IM DONE. whee! oh yeah, can start thinking abt nex outing for after clinicals...get everyone together! :)
